Amongst the Stanislaus forest’s 800 rivers and streams and lost under the thousands of miles of wooded canopy lies the mysterious Lake Clovenhoof. Years ago, a vigorous group of eccentrics established camp on the shores of this lake and named it Camp Clovenhoof. Their activities are shrouded in mystery, and the beliefs and practices of this lot of self-proclaimed visionaries had remained secret for decades.

As time passed, stories and fantastic lore began to surface concerning strange circumstances surrounding this camp. In recent years, a traveling vagabond was employed to help propagandize the message and values of Camp Clovenhoof. Brian Von Julianel became the representative for a musical manifestation of historic Camp Clovenhoof. A storyteller of the highest pedigree, “Von” has been known to wear the personality and voice of the characters in his tales, earning him the moniker “Cast of Characters”.

Soon after his appointment, Von enlisted the creative talents of a cadre of elite producers to help infuse his stories with music and color. A couple of years ago, ex-circus ringmaster Sir Ian Howard, began working with the band. It soon became evident that Sir Ian’s unique delivery and unorthodox background would be a respectable compliment to the camp’s mix of ribald tales and musical craft.

As Camp Clovenhoof’s music gains popularity, the subliminal messages hidden in the lyrics and beats grows more powerful. This maudlin group of storytellers and beatsmiths continue to organize shows in areas across the state of California. Rumors suggest that the band has been instructed to continue its campaign to brainwash the impressionable masses of vulnerable demographics.
